Hello I'm Dawa Tenzin,

As a person who has had many setbacks to overcome, but has also been really blessed, I believe everyone deserves an opportunity in life, to fulfil their dreams, an opportunity to show what they're about and what they can do. Maybe they don't know themselves what they are capable of achieving, the heights to which they can soar, but want to find out. To this end, Tower Creative Entertainments CIC  is giving opportunities to under represented groups to be cast in the production both on stage and and as part of the production team. For example the story of Tarot Angels & Love explores  sight loss. For me, sight loss  is not a barrier to performing on stage or back stage in this musical or any other show Tower Creative Entertainments produce.  Everyone is welcome.

In 2009 I took " That's Showbiz!" a musical I'd written (music, book & Lyrics) to New York's Midtown International Theatre Festival. I worked with wonderful Broadway stars and had a fantastic time. We won The Most Outstanding Production of a Musical, Best Choreography and Best Costumes. I learned so much and will be forever grateful for the opportunity.

Last year my son  discovered the music I'd written in the early 1990s for a musical called Tarot. He said Dad, it's really good, you should do something with it. I revisited it, re-wrote the book and some of the lyrics.  Then I went on a website called Fiverr and to find a freelancer who could help me with orchestrations and arrangements for my music.  The first person I contacted was Giuseppe from Bogota Colombia. He is a wonderful human being, his orchestrations and arrangements were fantastic and at a price I could afford. In April this year (2025)  I traveled to Bogota to have the music and vocals recorded. It was a brilliant experience. We're using the instrumental recordings as the backing for our production in July. I also met Diego, our recording engineer and all the musicians and vocalists. They are all very talented and wonderful people.  One day I would love there to be a production of Tarot Angels & Love in Bogota.

As well as setting up a Kickstarter to crowd fund the July production, Tower Creative Entertainments CIC will be applying for an Arts Council National Lottery grant to help towards production costs. Working with the local theatre community and local businesses in Blackpool is really important to me. I feel If we can support other Blackpool companies and charities, it has to be good for the people of Blackpool.  Our aim is as far as possible to use recycled materials for props, sets and costumes which will be good for our environment. 

​

A production will only succeed with the support of audiences. I want everybody to be able to come and enjoy it. We're exploring the possibility of providing free transport to certain performances for those who may struggle to attend the theatre due to mobility or other issues.
